Pickup and drop-off
Christchurch pickup. Collect your Jimny in Christchurch. This is the only location where the Adventure Package (rooftop tent and camping gear) is available. You can drop off in Christchurch or Queenstown. One-way drop-off to Queenstown is available by arrangement.
Queenstown pickup. Collect your Jimny near Queenstown Airport. Queenstown vehicles do not include rooftop tents or camping gear. You can drop off in Queenstown or Christchurch. One-way drop-off to Christchurch is available by arrangement.
24/7 lockbox pickup is available at both locations so you can collect at a time that suits your flight or schedule. We send exact instructions after you book.
Winter driving
In winter, all our Jimnys include snow chains. When conditions require chains (for example on some alpine roads or ski field access), you are covered. We can advise on when and where chains may be needed when you book.
Gravel and unsealed public roads are allowed year-round. Off-roading (tracks, private land, beaches) is not permitted. Drive to the conditions and follow local road signs.

Can't recommend highly enough! Picked us up from the airport and dropped us off. They made everything easy. The Jimny is perfect for a couple to explore New Zealand. In its fun to drive and capable to get you anywhere with less worries than driving a car. For example, you have to ford 9 streams to get to Rob Roy Glacier Track, I was very comfortable doing that in a Jimny rather than a Prius. Its small which is a plus for fuel efficiency and on narrow lanes of some of the roads. We drove over 2000 miles during our two weeks in NZ and I'd pick a Jimny from Grace and Adam again when we hopefully come back!
Loved having the Jimny driving round NZ! It was super easy to book, they were really responsive to questions, pick up and drop off were easy and no issues at all. We'd been burned by a rental car when in Iceland by the 'or similar' when we really wanted to drive a Jimny so it was great to know we were definitely getting one through this company!
