“Before fitting these my Jimny would hit a bump and bound off randomly like a squirrel. Well worth it after two years of thinking it cannot be that different. Well it is.”

KYB Skorched4 shocks. The best aftermarket option we found for the JB74, and we have driven a lot of them.
The Jimny is a brilliant little truck, but anyone who has driven one on an open highway or a gravel road knows the feeling. It darts over bumps, floats around corners, and takes a few wobbles to settle. That is not a flaw in the car. It is what stock suspension does on a short-wheelbase 4WD. It can be fixed.
We went through multiple options. These are the shocks we run on our own Jimnys.
Bolt straight onto your JB74, no lift, no extra parts. About an hour's work with basic tools.
Fits 3-door and 5-door Jimny equally well.

“No longer feels like it's going to tip over around roundabouts. Gravel roads seem like normal roads, maybe even smoother. If you're having doubts, don't, just buy them.”

“Corners, windy roads and long trips are far more enjoyable. Highly recommend.”

“Good improvement over standard. Jimny now behaves as it should and settles quickly with no wobble. Recommended.”

No. These are a direct replacement for the stock shocks. They do not change your ride height.
Yes. They are compatible with both 3-door and 5-door JB74 models.
Most people do it themselves in about an hour. You will need basic hand tools and a jack. A 17mm ratchet spanner helps with the rear top mounts.
We tested multiple options. KYB Skorched4 gave the best balance of firmer handling, improved stability, and comfort, without turning the Jimny into a harsh-riding car.
A full set of four shocks: two front and two rear.
